Kids @ APBC

At APBC we are passionate about children and their contribution to the Christian life. We think it is essential to encourage each child in a nurturing environment to explore, learn and experience faith for themselves.

On a typical Sunday morning children join with the adults for all-age worship before going downstairs for their own age-specific programme (the worship leader will announce when this will happen). We encourage each child to join in the Bible-based activities, which include arts, crafts, games, music and drama. We use Scripture Union’s ‘LightLive’ series to help cater for our three groups:

  • Bubbles (ages 0-5),
  • Splash (5-8) and
  • X Stream (8-11).

You are welcome join in initially to help settle you child if this is necessary.

Every half-term we hold a family service, where children (and adults!) are given the opportunity to actively take part and help lead the service. This time also allows the grown-ups to find out a bit more about what goes on downstairs.

Throughout the year, we host and attend other activities. These have previously included parties, concerts and sleepovers. We feel that it is important for children to find their identity within the church, and these extra activities are designed to build the relationship between church and child.

All of our volunteers who work with children are enhanced disclosure checked.

If you have any questions about Adelaide Place Baptist Church and/or our work with children and young people, please feel free to contact us.
