APBC has a long tradition of looking to make connections with people across the world, and we have a truly global perspective on mission and development.
What do we mean by “mission”?
For us, “mission” ranges from people working to communicate the good news of Jesus Christ to others through to people working in development alongside local or national agencies. Our motivation in mission is to love our neighbours, whether they live in Glasgow or in other parts of the world. Many people in APBC are also motivated by a strong sense of social justice.
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-40, New International Version, ©2011)
We set aside 10% of our church income to direct mission support.
