Global Gathering

Global Gathering - 5pm, Sunday 26 Feb, at APBC

The Church went global long before big business. This month at Global Gathering we’ll be looking at the church in Tanzania and in Pakistan.

Reuben N’gwala and Imran Gill will talk about life as global Christians, what it means to be a Christian in their home countries, how they fare as Christians in Scotland, how they relate to other faith groups and more.

We’ll hope to have some international music, Latin American coffee and Indian tea.

Come along on Sunday, and get the insights that television can’t deliver.

Thanks to both Reuben and Imran for their insights into Tanzania and Pakistan.

One of the common threads through both their presentations was the effect of education* and literacy. In Tanzania, education means that the next generation of children can learn effective ways of getting out of poverty. In Pakistan, where the literacy rate is only 48.7%, the population is susceptible to being manipulated through misinformation (for example in confusing Christianity with the behaviour of the secular or political West, with dangerous consequences for Christians in Pakistan).
