Jumbo Haggis!

Haggis

The West End house group decided to join with the nation and celebrate the Bard’s birthday. The usual ingredients to the evening’s festivities included the traditional haggis, neeps and tatties and of course the irreplaceable Irn Bru.

However, the photograph displays what turned out to be a MONSTER haggis with a MONSTER taste – it was one of the best! Unfortunately Shona did not leave us the name of the butcher in Airdrie who supplied it – it was delish!

Changes Ahead

When we looked back as a church over 2006 we realised that it had been a difficult year for many of us due to personal loss and bereavement. Though these griefs do not disappear with the changing of the year number we nevertheless look to God’s future for us.

They have not prevented us from considering which direction we should take under God’s leading. We haven’t completed that process but will continue to do so during 2007. In the next few weeks we will be re-considering the consultancy we engaged in last year and the prayerful reflection the leadership have been led to during the process.

In tandem with this, the opportunity to further develop the work and ministry of Business in Glasgow with co-operation from our Pastor in Adelaide Place with the support with the Baptist Union, leads us into territory that we haven’t traversed before. This is indeed a challenging prospect and we set ourselves the task of exploring what and where that may lead us.

2007 is going to be a challenging time for us.
