Alison’s Story Causes a Reaction!

Alison’s visit to our church on Sunday 12th February caught the attention of her listeners in a powerful way. Here are just a few of the personal responses of some of those who heard her:

“I took my hat off to her to have the courage to stand up and tell us her story; she obviously couldn’t do that on her own strength.”

“There is a power above that can change people.
She has a mission to get round the people on the streets.”

“She is a brave girl to admit to all that.”

“I thought it was a challenge to hear a story from a very different life style that what probably most of us know; she is a testament to how little we tap into the power of Christ.”

“Shocking to hear of stories like that but you have to try and focus on the hope at the end of it.”

“Good comes out of an experience like that.”

“Privilege to hear her story.”

“A lot of people go through that so it wasn’t surprising but it was good to hear how she got over it and recovered.”

“The thing that touched me was how it has fallen onto her children, it is not just your own personal life that is ruined, it is everybody who is around you.”

“She can now give back to the family who lost out because of her behaviour.”

The Dark Side of Scotland with Style

We can all make mistakes or bad choices in life and sometimes they can have devastating effects. The recent murder of Emma Caldwell was a sad reminder that Scotland’s most vibrant city has a dark and dangerous side.

This Sunday at Adelaide Place we will be hearing from Alison McNally who made some wrong choices in her life but also made another choice which saved her life and her family. Alison’s story is not an easy one to listen to but there is no doubt that the final outcome is encouraging and positive.

Alison was delighted to be asked to come and share her story with our congregation and we look forward to what she will say.

In a world where the pressures are exacting it is good to hear of the difference Jesus Christ can make not only to ourselves but also to our families.
